2011 Official Fan Ball Giveaway Promotion in the Heart of NYC
Fan Appreciation Event at Planet Hollywood in Times Square
In honor of the support of their fans, the New York Cosmos, the most celebrated soccer club in the history of the U.S., is launching their 2011 Official Fan Ball on October 23, 2010, 12 NN-5 PM at Planet Hollywood in Times Square. Not only are the Cosmos giving New York City fans a sneak peek at the new ball, but the team is also giving the ball away for free to the first fans in attendance! The event is in celebration of the birthday of worldwide soccer legend Pelé, who was the New York Cosmos’ star player in the 1970s. He is involved with today’s New York Cosmos as its Honorary President.

In addition to a free Official Cosmos Ball, Soccer-lovers attending the event can expect even more great fun on Pelé’s birthday. There will be a large billboard sized “birthday card” for Pelé unveiled in Times Square! The first 100 people will receive a free New York Cosmos T-shirt and every hour, fans have the opportunity to win Pelé-autographed soccer gear. Best of all, everyone present will have the opportunity to enter a penalty shot contest on Saturday, November 6 – and the grand prize winner gets to meet Pelé in New York City!
